Description Matias Quiet Pro keyboard
You probably know the conflict: there's nothing better than mechanical keyboards for hours of fast typing, because they give great feedback and prevent premature finger fatigue. But - they are loud. Even Brown Switches can draw the ire of your more sensitive colleagues, for whom the 'click-click-click' can ring in their ears like a jackhammer...
After 2 years of development, Matias has released a keyboard that combines the advantages of mechanical keys with the advantages of non-mechanical keys: The result is the Matias Quiet Pro keyboardwhich is great for typing and so quiet that it won't disturb anyone, even in an open-plan office :)
Other advantages of the Quiet Pro are:
- Wear-resistant laser marking on the keys (even after 10 years you will still be able to recognize the letters)
- Finger-friendly molded recesses (so you always hit the keys correctly and find the start position quickly)
- 3 additional USB 2.0 ports (for smartphone, camera, mouse...)
- N-key rollover (ensures that keys pressed simultaneously are still recognized individually)
- Audio and media control keys for volume control and faster navigation through music or movie software as well as a tab key on the numeric keypad.
Hint: Under Linux a hid_apple driver is required, in addition some things have to be considered during the module configuration, so that e.g. the FN keys work correctly. The keyboard is not recognized under Linux during the boot process.
