Anyone who has already passed the magical age of 30 will have the right sounds and noises in their head for these onomatopoeic terms without delay. Oh, those were the days when you didn't have instant, extra-fast, flat-rate Internet access via DSL, but had to dial up via a 56k modem and pay per minute (!)... Checking e-mails could quickly cost a mark (not euros!)...
In retrospect, people tend to glorify and euphemize the past, and it's no different with modems. Everyone could use the kccchzzzzcchssppppppiiiepbrummmm sequence when dialing in (or singing along?). Somehow you wish you could go back to that time (although it was a time of great hardship), despite the gigantic ping when gaming and an absurdly high phone bill that divided entire families. Yes, that's how it was back then.
Seriously, nobody wants to have to use modems to access the Internet anymore, but the sound... it awakens sentimental feelings and if you can't get enough of it, then you'd better get yourself a music modem :)
This gadget is a mini keyboard with which you can play music in modem style. 8 tones (i.e. a full octave), 3 modes and 5 different keys offer you almost endless possibilities to fulfill your retro needs. But that's not all! The music modem even has an AUX In and an AUX Out socket so that you can connect it to a loudspeaker or another keyboard, for example. This opens up even more possibilities for singing and dancing along :)
Did you know that there are even artists like e.g. Brett Domino who have elevated the strange absurdity of "musical instruments" like this to a style? Who knows, maybe you'll soon be competing with them and if not, you can annoy your work colleagues with biiiiepskrchhhhdrrrrbrummthey will be happy ;)
