The Keyboard Prime 13 adds a new and powerful member to the "Das Keyboard" family. Building on years of experience and proven materials, this keyboard brings a new level of comfort and typing pleasure to the workplace.

The Prime 13 will definitely appeal to people who expect no-frills functionality from a keyboard in addition to an excellent typing experience. The claim to provide professional typists and programmers with a reliable tool is already reflected in the matt black exterior and this line can be followed right through to the keyboard's interior.

At first glance, it is immediately apparent that the top plate of the Das Keyboard Prime 13 is not made of plastic, but of durable and elegant aluminum. This means that the keyboard not only blends seamlessly into any work environment, it can also take a beating and will provide loyal service for a long time to come.

The built-in USB port allows another device such as a mouse to be connected directly to the keyboard as a passthrough. This makes cumbersome laying of cables under the desk a thing of the past, and

the proven, high-quality MX Brown or Red switches with gold contacts from market leader Cherry are concealed under the laser-cut keys, which are illuminated by white LEDs in 7 brightness levels. With an actuating force of 45g and a total travel distance of 4mm, the switches offer a smooth and tactile* typing experience.

The robust switches can withstand over 50 million keystrokes. Of course, the Prime 13 also features the indispensable full N-Key rollover, which allows multiple simultaneous keystrokes to be reliably recorded, and

the Prime 13 also has an integrated energy-saving function that dims the backlighting of the keys after 10 minutes of inactivity. The sleep function can also be activated quickly and conveniently via a function key, preventing unnecessary power consumption.

The Prime 13 keyboard is available in US layout (104 keys), DE layout (105 keys) and UK layout (105 keys) and does not require any special software or firmware and is therefore compatible with Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS and Linux.

*"Tactile" refers to a noticeable resistance that indicates when the switching point has been reached and the keystroke has therefore been registered. With the Cherry MX Brown Switches, this happens almost silently, with the Red Switches you hear a soft click.
