Description Portal Cookie Cutters
The cake is a lie!
That doesn't matter at all – we'll just eat something else! Join us on the dark side (via a portal, of course), because we have cookies in wonderful shapes, based on the games Portal and Portal 2 by Valve.
With eight different cookie cutters, you can bake the following:
- Companion Cube
- Falling Test Subject
- Running Test Subject
- Portal
- Turret
Exciting experiments await you! What happens, for example, if you and a friend each eat a portal cookie at the same time and one of you follows it up with a test subject cookie? We don't know, but you can find out!
After use, the cutters can be optimally stored in the specially made metal box in the look of a Companion Cube. This is even equipped with removable foam for the best storage conditions. Alternatively, you can also store baked cookies in it.
Although a recipe (in English) is included, who knows if GLaDOS herself designed this baking instruction and just wants to poison us ;) To cover all eventualities, we would like to recommend another cookie recipe, tested and approved by us:
Take 500g of flour, 250g of sugar, 250g of butter OR margarine, 2 eggs, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, and some zest from an organic lemon. Mix everything together nicely to form a dough, which you then roll out (to about 1cm height). Using the cutters (briefly wash them with hot water before first use), cut out as many portals and test subjects as you like, place them on a baking sheet, and bake them at 175°C for about 15-20 minutes (top and bottom heat). Don't leave the cookies in the oven for too long, otherwise, they will become hard and you might get stuck when passing through the portals. They are good when they change from dough yellow to a light dough gold and still look slightly unfinished. After cooling, you can decorate the cookies with icing or chocolate coating.
Another tip: Cookie cutters can be used for more than just cookie dough! At your next LAN party, offer your guests running test subject sandwiches – cutters also work with toast or other bread, cheese, and salami :)
