In the 2009 cinema film, a single drop of red matter is enough to make an entire star collapse in on itself. Spock sets out to use it to stop the supernova that threatens Romulus, and what happens next is known to everyone who has seen the film: a black hole, two missing starships, and a timeline that is never the same again.
The Star Trek Red Matter Gin takes exactly this substance and fills it into a carafe with a ball stopper. Inside floats a deep red, glittering distillate, a distilled wild berry gin with fruity, berry-forward flavours and fine juniper notes, distilled in small batches in the Black Forest.
Four versions are available: the single bottle, the bottle together with the metal coaster, the Collectors Edition with Star Trek glass and gift box, and the coaster alone. It bears in red lettering the note "Property of Starfleet Research" and below it "Red Matter Project, Classification: Level 10".
For those who like to serve their gin and tonic with a story. Don't worry: no black hole will form in the glass, at most a gap in the home bar. ;)
